YB3-355~500(IIB IIC) Series Medium-sized Low-voltage Low-speed Explosion-proof Three-phase Asynchronous Motors

1. General Description

       YB3 series motors from frame sizes 355 to 500 medium-sized low-speed flame-proof three-phase induction motors have a range of power outputs from 55kw to 710kw, and accord with the current National Standards and IEC Standards.

       This series motors are of remarkable features, such as compact construction, lightweight,  attractive appearance, safe and reliable operation,  long operation life, excellent performance and easy maintenance.

       This series of motors have been approved the certificates of IECEx and ATEx.

2. Construction Features

       Explosion-proof groups for motors haveExdIIAT4 Gb、ExdIIBT4 Gb and ExdIICT4 Gb.

       The motors are of class F insulation, and the stator windings have larger margin of temperature rise.

       The stator windings are wound with high-strength polyester enamel round wire of high strength and then treated with the progress of vacuum-pressure impregnation (VPI), to make them become a solid integral, and hence the windings and insulation have good electrical, mechanical and moisture-proof performance, and good thermal stability.

       The rotors are of cast-aluminium construction, and are well balanced. The motors operate smoothly and have smaller vibration.

       Oiling device and oil-draining device are set up on the bearing portion, this enables the bearing grease could be filled without stopping the machine. According to customer requirements, flame-proof temperature-measuring meter can be provided in the bearings. 

       The terminal box is situated on the top, interior of which has ample cavity to facilitate the connection, and reserve the cavity for installation of cable ends. The cable entry forms have rubble-covered cable, armoured cable, steel conduit wiring installation and flexible connecting pipe. There are six terminal blocks for connection within the terminal box.

       The motors are permitted to rotate in clockwise or in anti-clockwise.

       Duty type: Continuous (S1)
       * Humid tropical type and outdoor type of motors are suitable for using in humid tropical and outdoor places respectively. The motor can also be made into anticorrosion type.
